Alright i posted a while ago about about having diengagement problems, got that figured out. Now just starting today this clutch with about 2000 mi on it does not want to go in or out of gear:mad: the only way it does is if i double clutch it like ####ing dominic turreto. Theres no abnormal sounds, clutch pressure feels good so idk. Someone please tell me its just a shot TOB or something stupid. Any ideas would be great before i tear into it.

When you replaced the clutch did you use a genuine OEM throwout bearing? because this really sounds like it and if it wasnt OEM i wouldnt be surprised if it went already. make sure to get the OEM part and OEM only. our trannies do not get along with aftermarket TOB's :p

No i used the one that came with the clutch kit. For my sake i hope your right.

What kind of clutch?

Our cars dont take well to anything other than OEM TOB for some reason..

If not my guess would be shift fork rounding off

XTD stage3. Thought id give one a try ive read a bunch of review and it seems like most people that have it are satisfied. Although if the whole clutch blew apart that wouldnt suprise me either, get what you pay for. Do you mean clutch fork?,### it defenatly feels like a clutch issue not a trans problem.

Does the clutch engage/disengage as soon as you lift the pedal off the floor? or is it about half way up?[/QUOTE

No it dosent engage off the floor id say about 2inches off the floor it grabs. Thats about right isn't it.

e.com/watch?v=vYJxQyjIhUw[/url]Triple check that there are no leaks in the hydraulic system and that it is properly adjusted. Also be sure that its not overadjusted and blocking the suction valve in the master cylinder.
A good way to check this is if you can push the rod for the slave cylinder in by hand that the valve is properly functioning.
Basically adjust the clutch master until you just cant push the slave rod by hand and then back it off until you can.

If you go through all this properly, you should come up with something.

Yea ill double check the adjustments tonight. Its not the clutch pedal anymore i took that out and welded it ### that was my main problem in the first place so thats ruled out. The slave is new but I did notice the master is leaking a little under the dash but its not so bad that it loses pressure or anything. I suppose i should replace it anyway soon.

It is to be a sealed system. If there is any leaking, replace it. You definitely don't want it completely crapping out on you in the middle of nowhere anyways;)

Im sticking with the aftermarket throwout bearing. Any DSMer will tell you to only use the OEM part. They are not very easy to get but if you pull your trans out again I would replace the fork as well. or at least follow the video on how to adjust the clutch its good stuff. My buddy who has a VR4 went through 2 throwout bearings within the first 7k miles that he put on it after replacing the clutch. The second time the TOB was in pieces LOL. Thats when he read up that only the OEM one can do the job. Good luck man hope you figure it out.

Alright the problem was i had the master rod out to far and it wasnt bleeding right.Yay for jacks vid! It would shift fine for at first then after a short time driving i guess it just wouldnt bleed the fluid and make it all garbage.I still ordered a new clutch fork, pivot ball, and oem TOB today just to be legit. Thanks big time for all the help guys.I love this site!
