Hey guys, does anyone know FOR SURE if the 95 gsx with a build date of 10/94 has solid or vented rear rotors? or does it matter? I ask because I bought some rotor at Pep boys last night and the were solid. I just took the rear wheel off and the rotors on there are vented. Did I buy the wrong rotors or did someone put the wrong rotors on the car?
Thanks

Thanks 141, so what your saying is, the vented rotors that are on my car now are the correct rotors?

Ok, the vented rotors on the car don't look that bad, so I think i'm going to have them turned and return these solid ones. I'd rather keep the vented ones b/c they dissipate heat better right?

I think you're missing my point....you'll have to keep the vented ones because nothing else will fit your car. It's not like you have the option of using either rotor unless you change the calipers too.

Just consider yourself one of the rare few that have a '95 with vented rear rotors. I know of two guys, personally.

Oh I see. Lucky and didn't know it. Story of my life. So in that case I'm more then likely going to run into issues with brake pad fitment? Well I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Thanks alot you were a big help.

I have a question for this. I believe i have vented rear rotors also. Do they sell drilled and slotted vented rear rotors?

Since your replacement rotors are only available at the Mitsubishi dealer, then I believe the answer is no.

You couldn't possibly need that much performance from your back braking system anyway....the OEM vented rotors themselves stay cool as a cucumber.
