brake pads?

I dont have personal experience with hawk pads, but I have used some other ones that I can tell you about. When I first did the brakes on my car I bought ebc green stuff for the fronts. They advertise that there is very minimal dust and can handle very high temps, reducing brake fade, which was a huge concern of mine. Well, after them wearing down after only three monthst, I dont think the 70$ for jsut the fronts was worth it. The brake dust was just as bad as any other pad I ve used on any other car. The good part though, is that not once did I get brake fade with them. This time around, I bought pads from the local carquest for like 40$, they re lifetime warrentied. So far, I ve yet to see fade, even under heavy braking, and the dust seems to be just as bad as with the ebcs. So theres something for you to think about.

I'm not sure about hawks on a DSM but on an F-body/vette they work great.

im running axxis ceramics on my 240, they work great for spirited driving, but I wouldn't want them on a track, I think fade is an understatement, it's like brakes, now you have em, now you dont.

I had some NAPA brake pads once, they caught on fire on the track and ruined my calipers :)

Carbotech Panthers are my current choice on my DSM. Recommended by previous owner. Seems hard on the rotors, but work very well. My MR2 has Porterfield R4S that I like a lot, but I've been told that DSM's are a little heavy for that compound.
