Brake pads for 4-piston brake kits

ive been looking at upgrading my brakes to a 4-piston system (Aem, Power stop, Brembo, etc.) and i cant find specific brake pads for a 4-pist. caliper. Do regular sized brake pads work?

WOW no one has responed to this thread..... its amazing about how much people know or talk about power but dont talk about a good way to slow it down. Right now i might be only making plans because i dont have the money but when it comes not only do i intend to make my beast a fast sucka but also have the ability to stop the thing

If anyone has any info on a 4-piston brake setup PLEASE let me know on what kind of brake pads i will be able to run. I think the regular sized pads will work but need a second opinio so i dont get the brakes and tehn be in big for shelling out a ton for new pads.

Every single 4 pot caliper has a special regular sized set of pads for it. So if you expecting some brake pads you have now to work in a new 4 piston caliper, that won't be the case.

Now if you asking if these calipers have commonly available pads, most of the aftermarket calipers have good support from the highend pad companies in both road race and street comps, from what I've seen while reading the various catalogs for my modest 2 piston calipers.

Thank for the info steve. On that note then i guess ima have to go with power stop 4 pistons cuse i can acctually find the replacement pad for them. Funny thing is that they are the AXXIS ultimate pads and from what i know ( very little ) they fit on stock calipers and they run about $50

What is it that makes you think those ST40 calipers use stock Mitsubishi caliper pads?

They don't BTW, http://www.stoptech.com/docs/ST40withdisclaimer.pdf they use standard Porsche Brembo pads.

Yes it does say on that link that it uses the porsche pad but if you read the DSS sites info it says they also use AXXIS ultimates so yes you are correct but then again i didnt say anything about fitting stock pads in there anyways. What im saying is that AXISS ultimate pads come in stock sizes. I do, however dont know if that fits the 4-piston calipers and tahts the reason i started the thread.

Sorry I misunderstood what you were asking.

AXXIS, Porterfield, EBC, Hawk, Performance Friction all make pads that will fit the ST40s.
They all may also make pads that will fit the Wilwood calipers TCE uses. I didn't check but
they are popular calipers as are the Brembos that others use.
