I looked through the fourm and I still have questions about what pad to run. I want to run a pad that is very good against fade cause I have a 20 to 30 min drive and people ssssuuck at driving on the beltline. Dont you really care too much for dust and I know the noise level will be higher as well. Dont really care too much. Throw some ideas at me.

I have Axxis Metal Master pads and they are a very good street pad. Low-medium on the dust (not bad, really), low on noise, and medium-high on bite and stopping power.

Edit: Looks like the Metal Master pads might not be sold any more? Either way, here's the pads that Axxis has.

When my Axis Metal Master pads wore out I changed to Axis Ultimate pads. They are just as good at speed and better friction at cold temps.

See Axis site for technical data about trade offs between different pads.

I was thinking hawk pads but im not sure now. If I were to get the Axxis pads I would get the XBG semi metallic. Still not sure though. If it were hawk I would get the hps. My buddy that tracks his mr-2 says the carbotech pads are the same but offer less dust and noise. I first hand have seen this cause his buddy tracks his boosted mx-5 that have the hps pads. The mr-2 makes no noise and has very low dust, but the mx-5 has a loud first brake then goes away after that. Again as I first stated I dont really care if I have a noise the first stop. And dust is not a big deal too me. Idea's??

Axxis Brake Pads for Mitsubishi

I have the metal masters on my Talon now! I couldn't pass them up for $13/set. I got them from rockauto, not sure if they're always that cheap, but picked them up because I read some good reviews in the past.

Just the front pads. And its awd. Im going with the carbotech bobcat pads. But i'm having issues finding them.
