BRAKE LIGHT always on !!

wtf ? is thier a reason my brake light goes on and off all the time...... rubbing? should i get it checked out ?

its really pissin me off.

Did you check the switch? When you press the pedal down, you should hear a click. When you release it, it should click again. Check that first.

Do you mean the brake lights on the car, or the indicator light on the dash?

If it's the dash warning light, top-up your master cylinder.

Also check the switch from the emergency brake/ hand brake.
Make sure it is in the right range or might be stuck.

OK i have had this problem in the past....if you have a manual then this might help. Check your brake pads. If possible, change them. I had a 95 Talon ESi and the brake light stayed on. I thought it was the censor for my e-brake but it was actually telling me that my brake pads are shot. Once i changed those, light went off.

that might be it eff... i have an auto but i can hear the skreech from that cricket thing on the break pads..... i guess ill order some green pads or somthing =)

Not all brake fluid is the same. DOT 3 is what you would want to use.
