k i just loaded it with rtv, hopefully it's dry by the morning. and isn't the bov just there for safety reasons?

BUY A NEW BOV. SOON.

The BOV releases excess pressure from the turbo when the throttle plate closes, saving the throttle plate from bending and the pressure wave from reverting back to the turbo compressor wheel and damaging stuff there.

That cracked plastic is a HUGE boost leak. RTV probably won't keep it together. You absolutely must replace it as soon as possible.

You're going to need at LEAST four c-clamps.

Seriously though; the car won't run correctly w/ that drastic of a boost/vacuum leak. The sooner you replace the BOV, the better. Pick up one from a 1g; they're a better piece.

how much would i be looking at for one of these? as long as i keep the boost down would the rtv hold off until i managed to find a replacement?

You can do this thing with your bov as an easy and quick method to reuse your bov. i've done this mod to get my bov adjustable . maybe it will be hard to see cause i've painted it but the thing is..... put the bov in a vice in a way that the two piece are seaten properly and can not move. clamp it tight enough with a clamp of course.....and apply a good coat of jb-weld on each side of the clamp to make sure it will seal .
