Bov id

hey guys im new one this and have done some looking around but cant seem to find what i want... so dontgo tell me to search for it

i recently purchased a 95 GST 5 spd and the kid i bought it from gave me a front mount intercooler and a new BOV...

the only problem is idk what brand it is or if its a knock off ebay BOV...

can anyone tell me how to figure it out or do i need to post a pic of it???

If he gave it to you, I doubt either part would be of name-brand quality considering a Genuine Greddy BOV sells for around $200 and a good front mount kit can be $800+.

The trouble with that is most of the knockoff valves are so visually-perfect to the real thing that if I posted up a pic of a Genuine product that looked the same as what you have you'd think you have a Genuine product when you really don't.

If you have a photobucket page you can just insert the image. If you cannot get them to load, does the BOV say anything on it or have any kind of distinct marking?

If you want to figure out for yourself if it is some cheap ebay crap browse ebay.

its similar to the greddy BOV.... the reason he gave this stuff to me is b/c everything he had went with the car... he bought it with intentions to put it on and told me to have fun doin it... im workin on a pic tho hopefully tomorrow afternoon ill have pics of it.....

also the o ring on the inside is movin around so i hope its not totally f***ed up

If its a real GReddy it should say GReddy on the side, if its a knock-off it should have the spot for the GReddy name, but it will be blank.

GReddy (These one's normally have a purple top, this one was painted, but this was the only one that had a clear shot of the GReddy on the side & top):
