ojai,
how do i know my bov is hooked up right? its vented to the atmoshpere, the vaccum source from the intake mani is ran to the top nipple of my greddy type s. i dont hear it at all when i drive. i dont have a boost gauge controller or gauge so i dont know if i am boosting. the valve does not open up either. should i mess with the hard or soft setting? any help would be great.

It could be your spring, but mostly, they come set about right from the factory. You should be able to tell if you are boosting because you should either be able to hear the turbo or you can look at the generic gauge in the dash and see if it goes up and down when you floor it.

why are you venting to the atmosphere again?

well...its at negative boost when idleing, but i havent looked at it to see if it raises when i drive it. in neutral, it will raise, but wont make it past negative boost. if the bov is vented, when i look into the bov, shouldnt the valve open up after i let off the throttle? should i mess with the hard and soft setting?

i vented it because i didnt have an intake or hard pipe. its ghetto rigged.haha. so i juss plugged the hole and left it vented. i alseo wanted to be cool and have my bov be louder.
