So I bought my car with a Greddy RS already installed and like everyone else I am not satisfied with its performance. What do you all recommend, I have heard good things about Tial bov's..

Most will say to get a 1g BOV. TiAL is a great choice as well, but be sure to get the recirculated Q BOV unless you are either running speed density or a GM MAF in blow through. If you don't have either of those 2 then you strongly should recirculate if you don't want issues.

Over all, what aren't you liking about it's "performance". As long as it opens when it should and stays closed at idle it's fine. If you are having an issue with compressor surge that just means you don't have the BOV adjusted correctly.

What aren't you happy with? It could be something as simple as adjusting it.

Compressor surge occasionally, but not all the time. I really don't understand the entire BOV setup, I am coming from a Vdub and diverter valves.

I have all 3 BOV's, and I like all of them. There's a big difference in sound. The 1G is a good all purpose bov. My freind pneumo uses the 1G bov on his 10.1 sec Talon Tsi. I have the blow through configuration. The Tial Q Is tuned by spring rates/vac and it's not as noisy as the Greddy, until you get on the throttle (big whoosh). The Greddy is noisy (psst ricer sound). It has that distinct whistle noise. Your Greddy bov probably just needs adjusting.

Now that I think of it yes, it is mainly when I let off at part throttle.

As far as sound I would like something not so obnoxious with my next setup.
