Your car is non turbo. You know this, right? Putting a blow off valve on your car would do absolutely nothing. Blow off valves are used on turbocharged cars.

Oh, and please try to use proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. It is very hard to read your post and moderators WILL close threads for bad grammar.

Where is the emoticon for blowing your brains out with a shotgun?

Your right. I honestly think that if sombody starts a thread that says "BOV" or "blow off" or "Type S", as soon as they click the post button, it should just delete the thread. There is absolutely no reason that ANYONE should have to post a new thread about anything regarding a blow off valve. Nearly ever single problem/question has been covered already on this subject over the last 5+ years. Sifting through threads like these is what keeps me off of this site and other DSM sites.

If your really dead set on doing this buy one of those dumb electric superchargers, a turbo cars UICP and rig it all together with a BOV of choice. It probably will make noise, no promise though.

I smelled rice burning two miles away.

Try buying this.

Ohh man.. That link is great, the vids are just wonderful! I want my car to sound like something that came out of the wonka factory.

thanks guys, so please for some users here, save your bad comments im trying to get this dsm up so don't be like that guys those are bad comments that aren't match to what im saying:beatentodeath::dsm:

No, those 'electric superchargers' do exactly bupkas. Most of them are a single 60-90mm computer case fan, which measure their cubic feet of air moved by the *hour*. If you had one of those and rigged a BOV after it, you would get no noise.

I'd recommend getting a can of compressed air and rigging up a solenoid to purge some of it whenever the idle switch is depressed (add a timer to the circuit so it'll only let off a little, instead of purging it all when at a stop light). But that would be the epitome of ricetardation.

If you want the BOV hiss, buy a turbo DSM, install a MAF-T setup (or an AEM EMS/Ostrich and go to speed-density), and get a proper aftermarket BOV.

What you have to ask yourself is, is it worth it to pay over $10,000 just to drive around with a ricer whistle? That will start to get on your nerves after the first month?

'Getting it up'? You just want the BOV noise! That's not building the car up, that's slapping something on so the car SOUNDS fast, but actually isn't. And making a car look/sound fast without actually making the car fast is the very definition of rice in the first place.

As Defiant would say, "We're done here."

This thread has been beaten to death. Original Poster: You'll find more information on blow-off valves if you do a search on this site than you'll know what to do with. Many of the questions have been answered a million times. Good luck with your project.

Others: If you don't have an ANSWER to the question, skip the thread. Otherwise, be polite and respectful of others.
