Winnipeg,
hey i have a greddy type R blow off valve and a ram air intake.... i wanted too connect a pipe too the end of the BOV to my air intake...but i can't find any kits or anything plus its cold here and most BOV's run by the atmosphere so yea.... run perfect in summer but you know how winter is on cars especially here in canada -30!!! in winnipeg right now. But yea is there any kits i can use too help recirculate my BOV too intake.... btw does it still sound the same, or does it sound different? :talon: :thumb:

the type r bov from greddy is kinda ridiculous on your car, im not sure they make a reciruclation kit for that sucker, its a higher psi blowoff valve that typcially wouldnt be put on a dsm unless they were running a blow throug setup. I havent ever even seen one in person, i made a recirc kit for my type s. it does sound different regardless.

first you are going to have to have an intake pipe (the pipe between the mas and turbo) that has a return bung of the bov. this return bung will recirculate the excess air back into the intake pipe. if you still are running the factory intake rubber snorkel then it will have this bung. if you have an aftermarket only you will know. if it does not have this bung you will have to buy a new intake pipe with the recirculation bung made onto the pipe. if you cant find an oem recirculation hose at a junkyard off a turbo 2g then you can go a parts store and look through their radiator hose section. find a radiator hose that has a 90 degree bend made into it. it doesnt matter if the hose is way too long, you can cut it to fit. make sure the hose is the correct inside diameter to fit the greddy type S and the return bung on the intake pipe. just cut it to fit then and install it with new hose clamps or T bolt clamps to really hold it down. t bolt clamps are not needed really on this because it doesnt have a lot of constant pressure on it. these would be used more for the intake pipe and intercooler piping. anyways after you get this new hose installed you might have to adjust the softness of hardness of the bov. adjust with the set screw on top.

after you have the type S recirculated it is gonna sound totally different. i have a greddy type RS on mine and i can barely hear it. im sure the type is will be about the same way. good luck with this. you will notice a big improvement in drivability after you get this done also.
