bout to get gst running...setup questions?

turbo came in two days ago spent a couple hours putting it on today..(never fooled with a turbo. I had my freind (who works a little with diesels so he knows a bit about turbos) to come over to help, he takes one look at the mbc setup and the boost gauge set up and starts cussing the previus owner like crazy saying they were hooked up wrong. might should mention the turbo was allready off when i got the car.....so i looked on the forums awhile and found out the mbc was hooked up wrong being as its tied into the solenoid that it says not to....so can i just pull it loose and route it the correct way and leave the solenoid? also the boost gauge is hooked up correct because thats how all the post on this site show how to hook it up but he says it wont be an accurate reading there......would like some input please? Also the boost controler knob can turn whithout stopping bothe directions is this normal? sorry for the questions and the long post im just excited to get this thing running!

once you put in a MBC you replaced the BCS. just leave the BCS plugged in, but dont have any lines running to it. the boost gauge should be hooked up to your FPS line running to the intake manifold.
