Hello I Just Bought A LM-1 Yesterday, And This Afternoon I was going to get the bung welded in before the catalytic converter, the reason I bought it is because I was not passing emissions, Some of my questions are.

I was going to install the o2 sensor after the o2 housing but before the cat. should I worry about fabricating a copper heat sink for the sensor. Keep in mind this will just be used for part throttle tuning at around a target afr of 13.5-1 (part throttle).

I may not worry about WOT tuning at the moment since I just need to pass emissions.

am I pretty much on track with my approach. any suggestions.

I use an LM-1 and my bung is welded in right before my flex section. I don't have a heat shield and it works fine, it does not get too hot there. I also have the XM-1 guage, so my wideband 02 is in at all times, and always on. Its been on for a few months now and have no problems.

THX Dan :) Hopefully The Evil Goverment will grant me the privelage to pass emissions

I to use the LM1 and have it just before the flex well more the 90* heading back towards the cat. Same thing no heat sink and no probs.

Have you ever considered dsmlink? I'm positive i wouldn't have passed when i had my safc in my car. I put in my dsmlink, setup the default for 650cc injectors then took my car to get emissions. It passed with flying colors. I had the stock downpipe and cat on it, with the RSR catback remaining. After I passed the stock downpipe and cat came off.
