Ok so you probably already know LOL , 2nd gear- cant downshift ... probably 2nd gear synchros. It drives , just not back down into 2nd LOL . Does anyone have re-build experience, or know where I can get a compatible *working* tranny for under a million dollars ! LOL

Please Help ! THX Guys

ANYONE with info email me @ [email protected]

I think it was called A1 transmission and it is in kent. I got one done for 900 installed they are used though. if you want to do it yourself I can help you find a transmission. or I can find one and put it in for you in a weekened for probably $700.

Well I found a place near Federal Way called "SeaTac Trans", referred by Xtreme Auto Salon in Federal Way... he quoted me $395 labor + parts est @ 300-400 max, so not bad, but Im on the lookout for the best deal - like buying a rebuild kit for $400 and doing it with someone who knows how ( with me so I can learn )

That is the same deal I got I would help you but I don't know how to do the rebuild I can only do the removal and instalation there are may little parts that can get lost put in backwards or put in the wrong place. It came to like $856 with tax and everything.

Actually I was reading over the vfaq's site and found an article if you feel comftroble doing it I would be willing to help you out. I have worked on lots of cars and starting saturday I work in a automotive shop. I have done engine rebuilds rear end swaps custom fab work and many other things. Let me know if you feel comftrobale. If you have a while to do this I think I could help you out. here is the site.

Then go to dirvetrain and scroll down click 1g rebuild

Sorry new thought just buy the tranny from them for $395 then i will help you put it in. same price then you dont have to rebuild it.

Buy the tranny from who ? Its a rebuild kit. I think I missed something. I may have to wait to catch one for sale on a forum or Ebay. Its driveable, just downshifting into 2nd is the problem. Did you say u knew where to buy one for $395 ?

Oh I miss read but
I can get a used one for $395 or I know a guy who probably has one I don't know how much though. That shop I got mine at has them used for $395.

I will talk to you more tomarrow cause I am getting off work and I rarely get on the computer at home girlfreind won't let me I spend to much time on here. LOL

Yah I REALLY appreciate it. Im on a severely limit budget so I could use the information. If you could give me the information to the shop or if you could ask your friend that would really help. Thanks man. Once up n running I can't wait to get out there and show it off. Even stock this is a car that gets looks. Dont seem many un-modded mint DSM's like this anymore. Can't wait.

The used one I was talking about was from A-1 transmissions in kent I think thats the name of it. I could remove and replace the tranny in about 6 hours with some help.
