Bored and port match IM and TB

I Began doing this a while ago and finally had time to finish. The intake side is 57mm and the opposite is a about 56-57mm matched with the IM. Half shaft mod. So I figure it's close to 59-60mm of air flow. I did notice a difference when I hit the highway, it pulls a bit harder.

is that a tb stock or a jeep throttle body

can you give me some input on what you had to do and what tools.

ive been wanting to do something like this for a little while im just confused of what style of jeep to get the tb off of.

This is the stock 420A TB. I used a 2" sanding drum You really have to go at it for a while because the drum itself won't fit. So it requires working at it, sanding bits away at a time. Then I used abrasive polishing compound on one of my drums. I went through 4 rolls. I suppose I could do a write up. Harbor Freight sells these kits cheap with 1/2"-2" drums with two types of grit rolls. My only problem with them is my drill would eat away at the base of the drum everytime it got stuck so eventually I hade this gnarled down base trying to hold the drum in place. This is the kit I bought but I would suggest something better.

Look's good, Never thought of doing the half shaft mod but glad it's working for you. Did you get a whistle from it when you are on the throttle? When i modded my jeep tb i got a slight whistle.

@Shake yeah those were a few bucks haha I didn't think I would use them. That's my other intake, I'm porting it out and removing unwanted humps. I read you can grind down the inside humps where the injectors stick in. I do everything in my garage.

@Carter I'm not sure.. my hearing sucks quite a bit.

Sweet I look forward to seeing some pics. I just took off my manifold last week to find a leak and forgot how much of a pain it is while the motor is still in the car. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put the bolts upside down on the damn thing needs to be shot.

One of the tubes grinded, I'm experimenting on this shape instead of grinding it all down. I think that hump is there for a reason. Maybe for air flow/injector spray mumbo jumbo.

I do not know why those bumps are there either. Some things I have read say that it's not good to have too smooth of a intake at the head because it's better to have turbulence right before the injectors spray to mix the fuel with the air. If you have too much of an air vortex they say it pushes the fuel against the walls of the head and "drips" the fuel into the cylinder. I don't know if i totally believe this, however, with how that looks I think that is a good balance between mixing the fuel and increasing flow. Good job man and way to think outside the box. By the way I am in no way saying I'm an expert on this so if I need correction I'm sure I will get it here.
