I have aftermarket pistons that are JE pistons and I have eagle H beam rods, but I have a knocking, and I did this whole crappy job because I spun the rod bearing, well I want to take my motor out (420a) and put it on a stand and build the whole block but I don't know where to start. But I have a scratch up my cylinder on chamber one where the rod bearing spun. But I need to have,y block checked out, my crank, rods even tho the end cap seemed alittle discolored but my rods, and my pistons, and I'm gonna rebuild the head because I'm burning oil but my question is should I fix the scratches in y cylinder and stay with standard bore je pistons or would it be better to bore them out and get new pistons?

I know I don't have the proper knowledge for the head because I don't know anything really about rocker arms, or lofters or anything. But I did get my ziplock bag thing going and so far I'm almost done I just need to get then engine hoist over here and get my engine mounts and transmissions mounts off. Il take a video like a said or some pics or something
I drained the oil out before we pulled the motor and everything and the oil looked pitch black and I only had the car running for 30 mins at tops put together. And i put brand new oil in it.

I took my motor out and found my cylinders looked warped and a scratch all the way down one cylinder and I found out that my piston rings wernt keeping my motor completely sealed anwas d my piston wasn't sturdy and that has to be my knock because NY rod that was discolored looked fine and there's no scratches on my crank so idk if I could even take out my crank to get it checked? I know I will need my cilinders bored
