Well, I installed my GReddy Profec B 2 EBC, and everything seemed to be ok for the first few days. I went to drive to work today, and when the turbo would begin to spool, it will quickly go to 13psi as i put my foot more into the accelerator, then it will quickly drop to 5-6psi, and try to slowly raise after. The "warning" option on the EBC is set for 16psi, so i know it cant be the boost hitting the limiter. Could this be a symptom of a small boost leak, that its still able to hold boost, but not the full amount it begins to hit? Just curious of peoples opinions, before i perform a boost leak test, or tighten pipes. The boost exit "J-Pipe?" where the intercooler piping attaches to did have a slight bit of oily substance on the outside of the coupling where the pipe is attached, so maybe it was a small leak? Thanks for reading! :hellyeah::hellyeah::thumb::)

It does sound like you have a boost leak. As everyone will tell you on here, do a boost leak test and work your way from there. As you said, check the couplings to make sure they are all tightened down and and bolts torqued down as well. check from rips in the hoses and check your connections where ebc meets the vaccumm lines. something might have came loose causing your boost to increase and decrease.

Thanks man. I'll see what happens after I retighten the couplers...I didn't know they could loosen that much!

I vote boost leak as well. The wastegate spring pressure is the lowest your boost will be able to go in a properly working system. If it cannot build at or higher than the rated pressure then you have a leak either with boost or exhaust.

This been resolved yet? I just went through this with my Greddy Profec B Spec II and the culprit was the INSTALLATION MANUAL that I downloaded. Installed just as manual said and later read a thread on a stealth r/t forum that the COM and NO lines were backwards! swithched the lines and problem was solved :hellyeah: COM to wastegate and NO to compressor housing
