i have a 96 gst with a 50 tim turbo, hks front mount, and supporting stuff. The thing is that when i floor it it spools and pulls a bit but not enough. You can hear the turbo spool up loud but it's not pulling like it shoud. i have new coupling and t bolt clamps on the intercooler. My gauge reads like 13psi but it feels more like 8psi. The turbo has no shaft play. i don't think it has a boost leak. what is going on??

i will to say boost leak. but if you test and it comes out fine then maybe it's a a bad read from your gauge.check Bov to see if it's not leaking under boost. could be it

I agree for the boost leak problem

I never think I have one either, even when the car is running great, but they sneak up outta nowhere. You need to KNOW that its not a boost leak, so try that first.
