Boost levels too high???

My stock car is is hitting 16psi at WOT in 3rd and 4th gear. THen I notice the boost will drop off to around 11-12psi. I also get fuel cut or the "Brick wall effect".


Could it be a bad wastegate?

I would check for any boost leaks.

if the wastegate were bad you would have either real low boost or to much boost . as mentioned check for boost leak , and check the bpv .
