im trying to get 15 psi boost from my stock turbo. I was running 10 - 12 psi before installing an MBC but once i installed my MBC the boost levels shot up to 20psi+ even with the boost controller set at minimum. im not sure why this is happening it is installed just as the instructions showed. It is a Turbosmart in cabin MBC.
 
Show us a picture to better understand what you are talking about. But it sounds like to me that your flipped around in your lines, you should try and flip them and see if that works. Good luck Winter
 
Do a search for the "Turbosmart MBC" and look for a thread started by kenamond. If that's the type of MBC you bought, you maybe have to hook it up in the way he shows to get it to work properly.

So far, I know of no one who can get that MBC to work correctly.

remove the controller and see if you can blow through it . it might not be opening .
