Boost Leak??

here's the deal. i have a 2g gst. when i drive my car, k, if i go without hitting boost, i can pull and pull and pull all the way up to redline. but as soon as i make boost, around 3k the car just like stops pulling and just stays around 3-4k rpm. it's as if it doesn't want to move. also, i found out that when im not on the throttle hard/making boost, nothing comes out the exhaust. but when i floor it black smoke (rich) comes out right about full boost. what's the problem? i thought at first my hks ssqv bov was leaking or that i had it too loose, but even when i tighten it down a lot it still does it. what could be the problem?

yeah, one of my intercooler pipes was half @ss put on, fixed it and now it pulls like it should
