well i just finished a boost leak test to my tb elbow (as oldman suggested with soap water) and found quite a few things wrong. leaks from the shaft seals (rebuilding a spare tb, just need to get the springs back on  any tips?) the gasket between the elbow and the tb, the biss screw (going to hardware store tomorrow to get a #5 oring) and i think the pcv valve THIS IS WHERE I NEED HELP i heard air when i took off my oil cap. my engine is 2500 miles old and i hear air when i took off the oil cap. could this be the pcv valve ? please tell me it is.

Non oem PCV valves suck....
You need to buy the oem pcv valves and change them like every 3rd oil change.
If you're trippin about the air you heard, just disconnect the line at the pcv and plug it with a drill bit or something.
Now retest, if you don't hear any air, then you know you had a bunk pcv valve.
