Boost leak test on NT

I want to do a boost leak test on my n/a eclipse to check for vacuum leaks. Is there any chance of hurting any diaphrams (brake booster, FPR, EGR etc.)? Is there a safe max. pressure?

I don't see why there would be a problem with this. Then again I'm not sure what kind of results you will get. Just slap the tester onto the throttle body and pressurize away. I don't think there should be a maximum limit on that. I would do it to about 30 psi.

I dont hink it would be a problem but i wouldnt do 30psi. Most people with turbo cars only test to about 25psi so i would just go about 10psi and i wouldnt exceed 15psi. Most n/t cars only run about 7psi.

Just take some carburator cleaner and spray it around the connection points of the hoses and such. If the engine revs up a little when you spray it on a certain point, there is your vacuum leak.
