i know this may be a dumb question but its better to ask than be sorry.
ok heres the question, i recently put a FMIC on my car and well this morning i drove it and it seemed to maybe have a boost leak since there was no power but i noticed that if i gave a little bit of gauge the stock boost guage would be 3/4 way up on the + side and i looked at my aftermarket gauge and it says 0 psi?
would this mean i have a boost leak?:confused::confused:

-Thanks

Could we get a little more info ? I would check all connections make sure nothing was missed and your vacuum lines are all on. And you can build a tested for 25 bucks very easy. let us know if you need one

When i had some boost leaks my stock gauge would go up but my aftermarket wouldnt as well. Go to menards you can buiild boost leak tester for ten bucks. Then i drilled a hole in the pvc cap and put a valve stem. Works good.

yes it could be a boost leak but your gauge should also still read if its making boost at all unless either your gauge is junk or what i tend to find is that the compression fittings you attach the gauge to the boost line with are too tight and collapse the nylon line try loosining those on either end but not too much and see if there is any change. Is it boost and vac or just boost?

Yea.. you have a boost leak..thoses are the effects of a boost leak..you probably didn't tighten one of the clamps down enough and it popped right off..solution: re-install the setup, tighten down everything, and you should be good 2 go
