Boost Leak Question??

I know that there are a ton of threads on here about boost leaks and ive read alot of them but havnt found an answer to me question...Is it possible to have a boost leak that only happens SOMETIMES?? and can cause the car to bog down....I dont have an aftermarket boost gauge yet so its hard to tell if i am still leaking boost even when i think my car is running normal. Thanks

It is possible to have a boost leak that leaks only after a certain pressure is reached (in fact this is common). The location (loose coupler/clamp, failing gasket, etc,) may be tight enough to prevent leakage of low boost but begin to release pressure after enough has built up to expose the defect.

As far as a leak that might occur sometimes and sometimes not at the SAME boost level I suppose it's possible. Vibrations and thermal expansion may affect sealing of certain areas.
