When I actually get on it I run through first gear fine. But then in seconds around 5k rpms it jerks and sputters until I let of the gas. I don't know how if it is just a leak because it doesn't do it in first gear

Dude, that's a great question. Mine did that randomly for a few pulls but then stopped out of nowhere. What type of mods do you have or is it all stock?

I wish I had the answer but mine ended as fast as it started so i'm clueless on what it could be... boost leak, injectors not up to the task, crapped up fuel lines... I could think of a few but honestly would love to find out for sure just in case it happens again on mine.

Until you actually narrow it down to NOT being a boost leak, this open ended question has a million different answers that will have you throwing money at the car until it ends up on craigslist.

Do the test, seriously. Do you have a wideband or anything to monitor your A/F? A boost gauge to see if you're making full boost? Your mod profile is empty and filling it out will help solve any future problems much, much faster.

I just got the car and it is mostly bone stock, other then kN air intake. HKS BOV and a boost controller that was probably turned up to high at 15 psi. But I'm new to this so no expert. So I asked the previous owner and he said it might be cause its the stock ecu but I was under the impression that people Put in 16 Gauge turbos and boost it higher then 15 psi

For now, just back the boost controller all the way out. Run minimum boost until you can monitor what you're actually getting for boost.

Don't talk to the previous owner anymore. He's an idiot for even assuming that.

Build a boost leak tester, do the test. If it comes back good and you don't have any major leaks then report back and you'll be given new suggestions that are going to be more reliable than what you're going to get anywhere else.

EDIT: And I'm not trying to be rude here but you really need to read up on a lot of things. You can't just bolt on a 16g and run high boost. You need supporting mods at the very least, and you should really think about getting a tuning solution. Do some research and you'll find more on Tuners than you could ever ask for.

oh im not that stupid, I know at minimum you need bigger injectors, fuel pump and bigger intercooler and a tune. I Just didn't want to get off track. I didn't mean to give the impression that I thought you could just bolt on a bigger turbo without supporting mods cause I know that is wrong.

My car did the same thing. I had several boost leaks with the factory intercooler piping. I did my damnedest to stop the leaks but I had to break down and get hard intercooler piping and a decent BOV. I got my side mount hard intercooler piping kit from Punishment Racing and I'm rocking an NGR BOV. Do at least that, buy a boost leak tester (unless you want to build one) do the test and fix the leaks plus put some new spark plugs in and that should resolve the problem.

Before doing anything check that the clamps on all the intake hoses/tubes are tight. I had one loose and it caused a problem like yours: fine in first, jerk and sputter in 2nd. Never understood why it ran fine in 1st but the clamp was the problem.
