Hello everyone, I need some help with my dsm, I did a boos leak test and it leaks air from the oil deep stick hole, and it also leaks air from the valve cover fitting that is on the passanger side, and from the oil cap, the reason I am asking this is because when ever I am driving the damn car hits fuel cut at arround 5500 RPMs and I dont really know where to go from here, I am going to get a new oil cap and a new oil deepstick, and I will check for dang boost leaks again, but can any one help me with this one, some advice, and has anybody been in thesame situation??? Thanks in advance guys

There are only a few reasons why you have air coming from the vc area when boost leak testing.

1) air bypassing the seals in the turbo. This is a common problem but it doesnt mean the turbo is bad. Try boost leak testing from the licp after the turbo and see if you still have air coming from the vc.

2) Most likely suspect, leaking pcv valve. Try disconnecting the pcv valve, plug the intake port for the pcv, and see if the leak continues. If not, replace the pcv valve with a new oem valve.

3) Leaking valve seals or piston rings. If it still leaks after the previous tests, this would be your problem. At this point, there would be no easy fix. This may warrant a valve seal replacement or rering job.

4) Worst case senario would be burnt piston, rings, or gouged cylinders. This would require a full rebuild to cure the problem.

Ok, first I wanna tell you that I fixed some of the leaks, some leaks where from the hoses that go bellow the intake housing, they had some fittings, like T-fittings, and fixed them then I replaced the damn pcv valve, and now I only have one problem, My BOV leaks, alot of air so I need to maybe buy a new one can any one gimme some suggestions? I would only be running 15 to 18 psi which bov would you guys recommend??? Thanks
the BOV starts leaking when in 5 PSI.

first make sure the small hose on the top is the bov doesnt have any leaks if it does then the bov will stay partway open during tests. also make sure you dont have anything else tapped into that line

that hose don't have any leaks for sure I replaced that hose with a new one
