boost leak/idle screw

ok so i made a boost leak tester, i plugged the two lines that run off the intake and when i do this i only get five pounds of pressure on my boost gauge and as soon as i take off the air supply it drops down imediatly and it sounds like its coming from the turbo or wastegate area. i sprayed all my lines down with soap and water and i sprayed the boost leak tester and the wastegate and the trottle body. well i noticed a boost leak on the idle screw. when i went to take it off it would not come off like it was stuck. then it broke into pieces. so now what do i need to do? why can i only get five pounds of boost? does anyone have EXTREMELY detailed information on how to perform a boost leak test, i read the one on here and its not working for me. and the other question is what do i do about my idle screw? can i use a medal screw instead of the one that was in there? or is there a easy way to take it off? please help me out

i also took of the boost controller and plugged those lines as well. does anyone have any ideas as to ### i can substitute for that screw? will i have to get the o-ring from the dealership or will any ring basically do

ok forget about the screw i went to the dealership and bought the replacement, now my question is about the boost leak tester

Start at the throttle body elbow, check for leaks in injectors seals, PCV, throttle BISS screw, throttle shaft O-Rings, and vaccum lines. Then once any leaks found are taken care of, test at the Intercooler on the intake side. Again look for intercooler leaking, connections leaking, the BOV gasket leaking. Then test at the turbo. Check for connection leaks, a well known one is the J-Pipe where the J-Pipe meets the turbo. I found out my wastegate actuator itself was leaking where the arm (long rod) goes into the actuator. So that is something else you might want to check.

I am having the same problem. If I am getting a leak from my idle screw does it mean the seals have gone on the TB?

On the biss o-ring i had a a/c o-ring kit that had a o-ring just a little fatter than factory. lubed it up and slid it into place and boost leak solved. I like a/c o-rings as they are more resistant to heat. just dont move them that much.
