I could hear air leaking from the booster hose connecting to my intake. I took it off, unscrewed the booster nipple, cleaned it up, and rescrewed it all the way on. I then cut a portion of the hose off, but I could not for the life of me get that hose 100% on the nipple. I tried for about 2 hours to try and get that hose on there, and it would not budge. I eventually used some KY gel :hellyeah:, and it went about 60% on. I then gave up, and clamped it. Checked, and it's still leaking from hose to nipple. I got pissed off and put silicone all around the end of the hose and on the nipple :banghead:.

I know silicone is a horrible choice, but what other option do I have If I absolutely cannot get this hose 100% on?

Your brake booster hose sounds like it's cooked hard from engine heat. You should replace the hose entirely; it shouldn't be that hard to push on. Keep in mind that the check valve is internal to the hose (for turbo applications) so make sure you get the correct hose assembly.

You are correct: silicone will not hold for high vacuum, or boost.
