Boost leak exact symptoms please.

I have a 92 tsi.I have it running pretty good I think but heres the deal.When I set my maft lean on wot I get lots of knock at even 12 psi or so.I richen it up and get sputtering at around 6800 full throttle so its not hitting the rev limiter and don't think its violent so not fuel cut.Sounds like rich spark blowout thing.I have new ngk wires,have tried iridiums,the 7's and now have new bpr6es in there gapped at .30 did try .25.I have new coipack and new power transistor.New fuel pump,fuel filter ,injectors and afpr set at factory spec.Maft and scanmaster and palm with mmcd. I even tried lowering timing and didn't seem to help much if have the car lean enough to not get the sputtering then get lots of knock.02 numbers while meaningless are usually around .92 when getting the sputtering at wot.
Under this gives high knock up to 43 counts.

So I always hear the old boost leak thrown out.I have made a tester but it seems to not stay on my car very well.It blows off at like 12 psi.Its a fernco piece.I try to tighten heck out of it.

I did find some pinhole leaks in my smic.Fixed those.I know have minor leaks in tb shafts.
Don't think have any other leaks.At least don't think so.But aren't my symptoms common with boost leak.I know with terrible boost leak like pipe off the car don't even run.
But guess with minor ones it runs just not well.

So it would sputter with a boost leak when you go wot but not when you go part throttle as much?
So does it make the car go rich earlier?
I can hit 10 or 15 and easily hold it steady it don't seem to have problem holding boost wouldn't it with a boost leak..it is a 50 trim though so guess it don't take much to get to 15psi.

Also do I want to test with tb blade open and then closed to test before and after the tb.
I realize you can have leaks in many places ,tb shafts,intercooler hoses and intake manifold.
 
is your mod list up to date? AGP RS49 50 trim,evo ex man,evo 02,apex n1 catback and downpipe/tt,supra tt pump,afpr,b&m fuel pressure,fic 650's,maft,gm maf,hks 264/272's,dejon intake,high flow air filter,mbc,autometer,palm logger,act 2600/flywheel.

Unless you can get that boost leak tester tightened up, you won't be able to fully rule oue a boost leak.

You have the fuel delivery system, but what are you using to control the injectors?

Just double checking what i hope is a typo, you say you gapped the plugs to .25 and .30 I'm hoping you intended .025 and .030. If not, that righ there is your problem :p
 
Mod list is current.Have just got a scanmaster,have new 3 g lifters to install and new knock sensor and new tps.
I gapped them now to .030..yeah you are right.I keep hearing of people getting this sputtering when maft is set too rich so maybe thats it and some guys said to increase base fuel pressure with my afpr.Could try that.I have maf translator to control fuel.Have new eprom ecu with custom chip to set for injectors also and it should be in the car next couple days.
I don't know how to keep the boost tester fernco on my smooth no lip turbo.It just blows off last time I tried to test.
