Boost leak and still make psi

My 16g has a 8psi spring in the wastegate so thats all it'll boost. However my ic pipes look like they would leak, where the turbo and ic meet. If I make 8psi does that mean its not leaking at all or is it possible it still leaks but can still make the restricted boost.

how do they "look" like they would leak? it is possible tht they would leak or something over 8 psi or something...i dunno tho. and why is that wastegate set at 8 psi?

Its right where the j pipe connects to the turbo. It doesn't bolt up straight but rather slanted. Spring was set at 8 because the guy I bought it from was only gonna run that on the street.

aww man put an MBC in ill be doing that in about 2 days [ in the middle of my install but bent a water line ]

as far as boost leak goes i made 15 psi on the t2small with a huge leak where the UICP met the intercooler.. so i dunno about that.


as far as the J pipe goes mine is kinda slanted too [ slow boy racing install kit ] i'm going to use some RTV to try and cure that

this gunky shit that acts as a sealer.. was on my oil return line and seems like a good idea; i heard hairspray works or something like that

I guess I should probably do a leakdown test, but I dont think I'm gonna like the results.
