2G Boost issue

I have a 98 gst in 1st gear it seems to have a crap ton of boost but 2nd and up seems like I have hardly any boost. What could be my issue. I just got the car and going to do a boost leak test this weekend. But thought I would ask just incase someone knows what’s going on.

What's "alot" and "hardly any"?
Do you have a boost gauge, map sensor and logging information to provide, or is this based on the stock boost gauge (which is worthless)?

Based on the feel of the boost. I haven’t installed the aftermarket boost gage yet that’s this weekend. 1st gear u really feel it pull and when u hit any of the other gears u get a slight pull nothing like how first is. The dash gauge shows boost pressure is up out doesn’t feel like what the gauge is saying.

That doesn't sound like boost. Its timing. Drive the car. Do some maintenance. Learn about the systems.
