Boost Gauge

I have my boost gauge hooked up to the p port of my throttle body and all of the sudden it won't give me a reading unless I have the gas pedal pressed a little bit.I took off the throttle body to clean the port out but its not clogged.Any suggestions?

put a T in on the vacuum line going to the FPR and run your boost gauge off that.

^ That's where I run mine from.

it won't give me a reading unless I have the gas pedal pressed a little bit.

Just so you know, you only get boost when you put your foot down a little

+1 on the FPR vac line. I have an HKS EVC 5 and need 3 reference points, but my boost reading source is t'd off that vac line.

I went to install my boost gauge on my P line only to find out that my '98 doesn't have one it was just not there there wasb't any sort of connection to conect it too so yeah I put mine in the FPR

It's a autometer boost,vacuum gauge.I guess I'll just have to run it with the fpr vacuum line.Thanks!

I have the 30-0-30 Autometer boost/vacuum gauge as well and it works perfect from the FPR line. Let us know if it solves your problem.

T a vac line, only way to go

The "p" stands for port iirc meaning its a ported vac fitting. Only opening as you discovered at partial throttle openings.

They use this as a way to control emissions devices etc. Not my area for sure!

Like everyone else said, T into the FPR line. its a good spot.
