Okay I have read dozens of threads and I am confused about where the t for the boost gauge hose should go. Some say before the fpr and some say before the fps. I installed it between the fps and the fpr and it doest work very well. Sometimes doest read any boost at all. Usually only shows a reading after 2nd gear or at high rpms. Never anything in 1st gear. Sometimes it seems like it is sticking then snaps up to like10 psi. There are no kinks anywhere. Also can you expect a reading just by reving the engine. I have a glowshift boost only gauge and have a 99 gst. Thanks

T in on the manifold side of the FPS, not between the FPS and FPR.

You won't get a boost reading just revving at idle.

Ok thanks, lots of conflicting posts on here sometimes. I almost always find the answer to what I need without needing to post.

The gauge shouldnt be sticking. You could have a bad gauge. But do what the guy above me said. It would be even better to have its on line. If you dont have emmissions, you can do it off the "P" on the tb.

This may be a dumb question but is there supposed to be a hose coming from the p on the Tb? Mine does not have one there.

Functions much better now, although it doesn't read any boost in first gear at all. Is this normal? All other gears read perfectly.

That isnt normal at all. Are you sure you are making boost in 1st? Might have a leak and not enough time in such a short gear to build boost like the other gears will. Do a leak test.

Maybe its just the cheap boost gauge you have,,,I had a glo shift also I worked good for like 1 month then started doing what yours is doing.

I have been chasing boost leaks for weeks now. I replaced all IC hoses with hard pipes cause of a few leaks there and the replaced BOV and those are all holding pressure. I had one leak left in the throttle body shaft that I actually hopefully repaired today with new seals. I will be putting it all back together tomorrow and we will see. It would seem I am making enough boost in first as my bov releases a lot of pressure when I release the throttle to shift into second.
