I have a MBC and I want to get a boost gauge before adjusting boost.

I am most likely going to purchase the A'Pexi EL series mechanical gauge.

Here are the specs:
60mm Boost Mechanical (Black) APX-403-A042 -0.76~2.0 (x100kpa) $123.75
from this page: http://www.gruppe-s.com/Apexi/apeximeter.htm

Now it comes in PSI or KPA. I want PSI, but I don't know where I am supposed to choose. Could I get some help with that?

I have a full pillar. After buying this gauge will I have everything I need to install it?

Just to be sure, are you positive your A-pillar gauge pods are 60mm?

When you order it, on the page after in input your ZIP code, you'll be asked to input your car information. Below that is a space with a heading "Additional Information". Directly under this is a box called "Special Instructions." In this box, you should tell them you want your gauge to be measured in PSI.

Gauges look nice, by the way. Good choice and good luck!

Thanks for the quick responses.

Majik, my pillar fits 60mm, and I don't mind paying the extra $56.

MrBoxx, thank you, helped out a lot.

But still, I'll have everything I need for install, correct?

To answer your other question, no, this boost guage will most likely not include everything you need to install it. I used to reccommend www.extrememotorsports.com's boost guage install kit, since it was complete and made things much easier, but since they just reorganized their catalog, I can't seem to find it. They may not offer it anymore.

What you'll usually get with a boost gauge is a length of thin, hard, white nylon hose for the boost line. This is hard to work with and has a tendancy to kink or crack. The best thing to do is get a barbed adapter to screw in the back of your gauge (you can find one at Autozone/Advance Auto/NAPA/etc) and use regular rubber vaccuum line. Tee into the line between the intake manifold and FPR (check the vfaq) and you're set. You'll also need power for the light, so the best thing to do is get some wire and some spade connectors and tap into the power wire for the light on the cigarette lighter ring. This way, your boost gauge light comes on when your dash lights come on.

I have the very exact same gauge. Yes if its the mechanical gauge you will have everything you need to install the gauge. It coems with a long enough vaccum line, a tee fitting, and some zip ties. The only thing is make sure your pillar pod is for 60 mm gauges. I purchased my pillar pod from gaugepods.com

Oh, yeah get it in PSI.

Hope this helps. Stay boostin
