So I installed my boost gauge last night and everything is working fine, I pull out of my buddies garage turn my lights on and well they wont turn on! Now I have a 90 gsx so they wont pop up, the lights themselves seem to be working. But they wont pop up like theyre suppose too. Also when I got home I turned my car off went to lock my doors and they wouldnt lock?!? I push them to lock and they pop right back into the unlocked position and wont move. We tapped the on/off wire into the igniton side into a white wire, does anyone know of anything that could help me with this problem??!

Thanks in advance, Zach

Need more information, sounds like you tapped into the incorrect wire, should have tap into the fuse block with a line fuse. Is the boost gauge a electric or basic with just wiring for the light?

Okay, our question is which wire did you tap (connect) for power for the light?

Pictures of the wires you attached to would be helpful. It sounds like what ever line you connected to is related to the door locks and possibly the motors for the headlights.

I will take a picture tomorrow and post it up here. The best I can describe it without a picture for the time being is: the wires that are right behind the ignition I tapped into the only white wire that was there, I'm not even sure why my buddy picked that one. But he had installed one of his car along with wideband, oil pressure so I figured he knew what he was doing.

I would have attatched the wires to the same circuit as the lights myself.

I think this would be a good time to learn about your car. Look through a wiring diagram and find the Headlight actuators, the door locks, and the lights, and figure out what goes where. You might be able to figure out what he did. :) You do have one available, right?

The white seems to be the one with constant power to it. Do your gauges still work? Are the on all of the time? You should have hooked it up to a Key On source like the Blue wire. It has power when the key is on and in start.

Check your fusible links in the fuse box.

Edit: If she still starts, couldn't have blown that fuse.
