well i have a 60-1 and im running about 24 psi tuned on pump. i have a 3.5 inch electric cutout before the cat and when i open it it seems that the tial 38 cant hold the boost has this ever happened to anyone eles with this type of turbo?? because i want to get a FP 3065 and i know you need a 44mmgate but will the same happen with that one too? im wondering if i get that turbo setup if i should run both wastegates or if that will be way overkill?

No the 44mm tial will hold the creep away entirely. People have ran as low as 14psi on the 3065 with the 44mm tial.

Thats the set up im going with this winter too. Great combo if done right.

You don't have to "break" any turbo in. You just prime it and go.

Dont mean to hijack the thread or anything but im having creep problems with my tial 38mm on #1 runn with a B16g. I have a 10 psi spring in it and no boost controller so it should open and 10 and stay correct? Well it was stayin around 15-17 right when i first installed it. Then the other day i went out and started my car up because its been sitting in the carport for a month and i warmed it up drove out to the highway got up to speed and then dropped it to 3rd real fast and it just pegged the boost gauged and hit fuelcut... No hesitation what so ever.... Im lost because in the time it was sitting i never touched anything...

Was that the first time you boosted to your set psi after you got the car out of the carport ?

If so I can see that happening. The Valve inside the wastegate will stick over a period of time. I've had it do it to me before. It should be fine after you open the gate a few times.

I have the 38mm tial on the number 1 runner and I can run 7psi all the way to redline if I leave the boost controller off.Lasercraver, check and make sure you dont have a hole in your vacumn line running to your gate as it will cause it to max boost if hole is big enough. Also check to see if its stickin.

I had only boosted it over 10 psi maybe 2 times and it just kept going. Maybe it is sticking. Thats awfully weird tho.... What causes them to stick? BTW A little off topic but what amount of boost to you all think will be safe with a b16g 570's out of an RX7 and a 3000gt fuel pump with a 5 knob safc and maft? Thankx
