I just installed a boost controller and im not sure which way is to turn the boost up. If the knob on the boost controller was turned all the way down into the boost controller would that make the boost go up and it was out all the way the boost would go down?

A manual boost controller works by deluding the signal to the wastgate which makes it open later... creating more boost so in order to turn your boost up you would have to tighten the screw and to lower your boost you would have to loosen the screw. ALWAYS start off at low boost and then raise it up from there and remember that you MUST have an aftermarket boost gauge because the stock one is not accurate.

Too much boost could damage your engine.

Dont be scared well driving turn it up or down but not alot just a little youll be able to feel the power band difference! not a big deal. is your turbo stock??? if so do not boost alot!!

Which type of boost controller do you have? A ball/spring type or a bleeder type?

If it's ball/spring, turning the knob clockwise will increase boost, whereas turning it counterclockwise will lower it.

Turning the knob counterclockwise, if it's a bleeder type, will increase boost and clockwise to lower it.

Also, like RS-RGS-T said, don't be afraid to drive your car around and see how much you're boosting. If your boost gauge (you do have an aftermarket boost gauge, don't you?) rises too much, just let off the gas pedal, pull over and re-adjust the MBC.

I ahve a 16g with a front mount. Its turned up to about 20 and drops to like 18. Stock fuel. Will i damage my motor and will putting a little race gas help it..
