boost always at 10-12

why wont my boost go under or over that when i turn my mbc up or down? Could it have something to do with my bov not allowing it to go over that, but why wont it go lower?

I have the same problem. If I try to boost higher, I just spike higher, yet I drop to the same psi (10-11). Could this be a boost leak? Maybe something isnt holding 11+ psi. Could it be my BOV? The used Type-s I got had the threads stripped for the adjustment screw housing (the adjustment screw isnt stripped, the place where it goes in is stripped). I now have a random screw that I managed to thread into the BOV....Could this be the problem? I havent done a boost leak test yet, but I would like to know the possibilities.

ok I did what you said and i could only get 12 psi in 2nd in 4th i got 13psi.

Here are the possibilities.

1. Boost leaks, which will include a BOV leak but not limited to.

2. Exhaust leaks before turbo.

3. A dying turbo.

4. Low compression.

well i have stock bov, wouldnt that be the case I guess ill find out tomorrow since im putting a better one on.

what is stock boost level on 2gb eclipse ? just realized i never knew. my mods are in my profile, am i ok to run 15psi? i bought the car used and this is what the guy set it at.

ya 15 psi is safe on a stock 2g but after that you might start to hit fuel cut and besides the t-25 isnt much good aafter 15-16 psi anyways. The stock boost is 11psi.

Oh yeah and as far as the new bov goes another leak might have been the intake nipple that wasnt plugged fro the bcs.
