why wont my boost go under or over that when i turn my mbc up or down? Could it have something to do with my bov not allowing it to go over that, but why wont it go lower?

Love it!

Andy, I think you're confusing the kids. Side line or bottom line depends on the orientation of the mbc. The OP's original post on how it's hooked up was correct.andymoraitis said:Side line to the wastegate and the bottom line to the boost source.
You're confused about his post because you're set on the "bottom fitting" being the fitting opposite but inline with the knob, whereas he is calling the other fitting the "bottom fitting" probably due to the way the MBC was mounted, like the picture shown.DSM-Talon said:the opposite of the knob is hooked up to the compressor housing, the bottom is hooked to the wga. its a hallman. I didnt remove the bcs i plugged up its holes.
This post further confused the OP, the "fiiting ACROSS from the knob" is the pressure source fitting and is also the "bottom fitting" that you're refering to. This is why I always refer to them as "fitting opposite but inline with adjustment knob" and "the other fitting", instead of "side" and "bottom" fitting, to avoid confusions. The line across from the knob goes to the wastegate and the bottom line is a boost source. Right now it appears you have it reversed and are running off of the wastegate.
Test run with the actuator fitting open to atmosphere (this should result in infinite boost), the goal here is to see if the system will boost past 12psi without the mbc, watch the boost gauge carefully and let off the throttle as soon as you see 15psi. Post back results.DSM-Talon said:I was never confused about the way it was hooked up, I knew I had it right. What I wanted to know what was causing my boost not to be lowered whic was answered. Now I want to know if the stock bov is not allowing me to boost over 12.
