why wont my boost go under or over that when i turn my mbc up or down? Could it have something to do with my bov not allowing it to go over that, but why wont it go lower?

Can you take a picture of how your MBC is setup. That would help out alot.

ive had this problem before...and ###### alot of others...make sure your turing it the right way...i did that with a hks mbc with the click knob

the opposite of the knob is hooked up to the compressor housing, the bottom is hooked to the wga. its a hallman. I didnt remove the bcs i plugged up its holes.

The line across from the knob goes to the wastegate and the bottom line is a boost source. Right now it appears you have it reversed and are running off of the wastegate.

Switch the lines and try it again.

I agree with Andy, he's too fast. Mine was reversed and no matter how much I turned the adjustment knob, it would stay constant at the exact same boost. When you change the lines around, make sure to set the boost back to the lowest it'll go.

Here you go:

I may be fast, but DAMN that's a cool diagram.

Love it!

Thanks, I drew it myself :thumb: Good 'ol paint... Anyway, DSM-Talon, just hook it up like my drawing has. Connect the side opposite the adjustment knob to the boost source (compressor housing nipple), and connect the horizontal MBC nipple to the wastegate actuator.

What you're describing is opposite the drawing. You had it right the first time.

DSM-Talon: set it up like the diagram shows:

Side line to the wastegate and the bottom line to the boost source.

I wonder why I get headaches!

the spring doesnt come up past the the threads, the dirctions said you are supose to start it out and 3/4" away from the bottom. so maybe its not suppose to come up the threads, also would that mean if it was looser then that the boost wouldnt change?

ok the boost still not going under or below 10-12, I cant figure it out, generally you can lower stock boost with a boost gauge cat you? Ok so should i remove the bcs becasue i plugged its lines, i thought that was enough.

Should you "T" into stock BCS lines, just like the drawing above? Or do you just take them off the BCS and plug its nipples?

Andy, I think you're confusing the kids. Side line or bottom line depends on the orientation of the mbc. The OP's original post on how it's hooked up was correct.

You're confused about his post because you're set on the "bottom fitting" being the fitting opposite but inline with the knob, whereas he is calling the other fitting the "bottom fitting" probably due to the way the MBC was mounted, like the picture shown.

The line across from the knob goes to the wastegate and the bottom line is a boost source. Right now it appears you have it reversed and are running off of the wastegate.
This post further confused the OP, the "fiiting ACROSS from the knob" is the pressure source fitting and is also the "bottom fitting" that you're refering to. This is why I always refer to them as "fitting opposite but inline with adjustment knob" and "the other fitting", instead of "side" and "bottom" fitting, to avoid confusions. :p

DSM-Talon, you're one warning away from being suspended, please read them and take them seriously to avoid suspension.

I was never confused about the way it was hooked up, I knew I had it right. What I wanted to know what was causing my boost not to be lowered whic was answered. Now I want to know if the stock bov is not allowing me to boost over 12.

Test run with the actuator fitting open to atmosphere (this should result in infinite boost), the goal here is to see if the system will boost past 12psi without the mbc, watch the boost gauge carefully and let off the throttle as soon as you see 15psi. Post back results.
