Bolt on fuel pressure regulator

Does anyone still make the bolt on style fuel pressure regulator? The style that bolts directly to the rail. I've look around on here and seen them. Just can't find any dealers that sell them. Would make things alot simpler than a aeromotive or fuel lab style. Thanks

Whatever you do, don't use the B&M Command Flo FPR, as it will not allow you to lower your fuel pressure, which is what you almost always have to do after making modifications. The Command Flo uses the stock return orifice, which is too small and the root cause of FPR overrun. Without changing that return line opening, you'll never be able to lower pressure, only increase it. However, I'm not even sure they still make that model.

I highly recommend Aeromotive's FPR's. They are easy to install and work extremely well.

Boy they sure don't give those things away do they. I could buy a aeromotive full kit and have some left for other mods for that price.

Go to import evolution's webiste. ( they are a supporting vendor i think. ) i run thier bolt on regulator and i love it. It goes right to the rail, has a spot for a gauge right on the unit, and works great. ( it allows for lower pressure as well as higher, i had a b&m and it only allowed me to go higher. i have used the import evolution to go down in pressure due to my walbro 255 pump. )

I think its $155 but its money well spent, and you dont need to mess with any fittings like the aeromotive ones. ( which are also a great regs if you want to use more of a custom setup )

On the end of the fuel rail (drivers side) it has a vaccum line running to it....

Mounting the AFPR right off the end of the rail like that can be dangerous, as engine vibrations *could* loosen things up, although I have seen others mount it that way and get away with it. The hazards of an engine fire would keep me from trying it.
The bolton AFPR on Ongreen's site is the one that was made by FullThrottleSpeed, but is no longer available, leaving just the pricey Buschur unit. That's why you will find that almost everyone has converted the rail output to AN-6 and used an external Aeromotive or similar AFPR.

I will have to agree with Jeffo on the mounting decision. I would really reconsider mounting it on the firewall or something. It worth the 25 or so bucks for the s.s. line and an fittings as opposed to a break in ## fuel line. Just some thought. I run the Aeromotive FPR right off my firewall and havent had any problems.

What are you talking about? Have you held the Buschur unit in your hands? You would have to be doing some WRC rally shit to break the fuel rail with that unit on the car.

Yea, but I was looking for others who ran the Buschur and saw people just saying it would break your fuel rail. I have a buschur, and like I said, unless you maybe are in to WRC rallying, it's not going to do anything.

Jeff was talking about the one in the picture right above his post. Read his post again and you'll see he wasn't talking about the Buschur setup.
