I know this is a long shot but most of the screws and bolts and nut throughout my engine bay have seen better day so I just wanted to know if there was or happens to be a kit that replaces most of those common screws or do I have to replace them one by one as I go.

Also, sandpaper of different grades (going from course to fine) works well depending on the bolt and location. Sometimes I use a wire brush on a drill or dremel depending on the situation.

I take my bolts and stick them in a vice (not too tight as to not ruin the threads but tight enough) then go to town on the bolt heads. I have also painted some bolts with high temp paint covered with clear coat (sometimes it still comes off so I don't do that to bolts in plain view just in case).

With the vice method mentioned above, I have some nice polished looking bolts. Sure they won't always look that way but neither will fresh bolts.

I do this only to areas that I am working on. The 4g63 always needs attention somewhere IMHO, so I don't rush it.

I wonder if a parts tumbler could do the same thing for you since you are willing to put money into new bolts. If a parts tumbler (even a Harbor Freight One) is up to the task, then I'd rather have a tool than new bolts any day.

I have been going through and replacing mine with these. I usually just get the longest fully threaded ones in the largest quantity and cut them down to the length i need. To me it is a little easier than buying 15 boxes of different size fasteners. McMaster-Carr

I go to Bolt Depot - Nuts and Bolts, Screws and Fasteners online and get stainless steel bolts that i use whenever I remove a bolt that is not a bolt that needs to be a graded bolt. They have a lot of sizes and sell in whatever quantity that you need. They also have metric graded steel bolts. I got bolts from them that JNZ could not get because Mitsubishi discontinued.

Just another option.
