Body Kit Modification

I've decided that I am more than likely going to order the Drifter Body kit (from Onderground Designs). Now, I was at the page for the Body Kit and I noticed that it states: NOTE: Made for the Eclipse. Talon and Laser Models will require modifications to fit properly

I thought these 3 cars were designed almost identically. I would assume they are right in saying that it was designed for the Eclipse (it is their product) and that it would need modifications to the other two cars to get it to fit.

Does anyone know what kind of modifications it would need? I am just curious to see if anyone knows before I order it, otherwise I'll just find out when it gets here.

Not 100% sure but aren't the taillights different? Different shape design I think. At least the 2g's definately are. That might be what they're talking about.

You'll just have to do a little cutting and molding. There are slight differences between the models (tail lights being a main one) that will effect the fitment of a body kit. If you have any experience with fabbing stuff up it should be no problem!

Okay, thanks. I have experience, so if the tail lights are the only main problem I should be fine.

I think it's an even closer match with the laser than with the talon. Also, if your kit is made for the 92-94 1gs, you'll have to do something about the part that sticks up on the front bumper. (Where the emblem is)

I should type this responce once and save it somewhere so anytime someone asks, i can just post it right away. but will do it again just for you.

1992-1994 Eclipse Body kit will fit this way -

For the front ends: will fit 92-94 eclipse talon and laser with no modification
will fit 90-91 eclipse talon and laser WITH MODIFITCATION**

For the sides: will fit 90-94 eclipse talon and laser all the same

For the rears: will fit 90-94 eclipse, 90-91 talon and laser
will fit 92-94 talon and laser WITH MODIFICATION**

the ONLY 1g tail lights that are not the same as far as dimensions are concerned are 1992-1994 Talon and 1992-1994 Laser tail lights. Although the others may LOOK different, they have the same dimensions.
