Ok when im slowing down in gear Bluish smoke starts coming out of my exhaust, could this be bad seals in my turbo or do you think it's sumthing els.
Thanks

Blue=oil, so it could be a number of things. Bad turbo seals, valve seals, worn piston rings.

There new piston rings and Valve seals

If the rings and seals are both new, then how many miles are on them? Have you run a compression test to make sure the rings sealed?

Theres about 6500 on the new eng but theres about 160,000 on the turbo, and it does the most smoking after im don boosting and slowing down but still in gear.
Thanks for the help

It's your turbo. Especially when you have a new engine, but an old turbo. It's like taking a shower but putting on dirty a$$ clothes, almost like taking sand to the beach, why? Just check it out, do you see any oil anywhere else? Other than coming out of your exhaust. Memmer, blue is oil, black is too rich of fuel, and white is coolant. You will want to get it replaced asap, cause it will eat all of your hoses, trust me. I had a small leak, it tore right through my hoses, like withing 50 miles of it happening.

No thats the only place that i see oil, O what there was i little bit in my intake?,check my other forum on what turbo setup i should get
Thanks

pcv valve could cause you to burn oil to. Have you checked inside your intercooler pipes or intercooler itself to see if there is any oil in that? If so its your pcv and you have to much blowby

Ok i just took of my intake and there was quite a bit of oil in it. and there was a preity good amount in my intercooler piping so does that meen its my pcv valve?, and how can i reduce to much blowby?

try replacing the valve first and make sure the vent(hose that goes from the valve cover to the intake) isn't plugged at all

The hose that goes to my intake or the hose that goes my intake manifold? The hose that goes to my intake is clear cus i blow thur it and its open

I'm refering to the hose that goes from the passengers side of the valve cover to the air intake before the turbo, that is the vent line.

Yea the hose is clear, and i blew in that stim going to the valve cover that the vent line goes to and that clear to.

ok, well try replacing the valve(on the firewall side of the valve cover) because that could be stuck closed and still be your problem. They are ~$10 at any local parts store

Ok i will go get one first thing in the moring, and if it still smokes i will get back with you. If it still smokes do you think its my turbo then?
Thanks for your help

its possible that it is but when you have oil in your intake and your intercooler its usually a dead giveaway to a pcv problem, but not always

Ok I went and got a new PCV and drove it for about 20mil and it still smokes, and I forgot to menchan that it smokes when a rev it to. So do you think its my turbo or do think i still need to drive more to make shure all the oil is out? and I checkd the play in the turbo and like a CD.

What do you mean it's like a CD?

Check for both side to side play, and in and out play. There should be no in and out play, and only a very small amount of side to side play if any. Are any of the fins on the compressor wheel touching the side of the turbo? Or does it look like they have been?

Yea theres about a cd thiknes side to side, i just got done driving so its to hot to get in there and check to see if its hiting the side or not

rip the vent line off the passenger side of the valve cover. Put a little breather filter in. Plug the intake part where the hose used to go to. That will eliminate oil in the intake because of blowby. Thats the first and cheapest thing you would want to do. If that doesnt help, then start going after more expensive things like the turbo.

Were the cylinder walls checked out during the rebuild? the rings may be new but the walls are worn and you might still be getting blow by. Check compression!!

well if there was a bunch of oil in the intake already it would take a bit for all of that to get out so dont count it out yet.
