blowing smoke and bogging when trying to revv

ok so i have a 96 gst i got the car and it smoked i was told turbo cause it was blueish smoke and i was told the head gasket was just replaced so i replaced turbo and i did new plugs wires and all gaskets on the motor and still runs like crap still i cant figure it out.... smokes at idle and alot more when i hit boost.... also i have to feather the gas just to get it to revv up....

Did you change the valve stem seals? What is the compression on each cylinder? If you have low compression, I would say piston rings are the problem. It also sounds like it is running very rich. Do you have an air/fuel gauge to see if you're running rich?

+2 on checking your compression, if your puffing blue smoke I'd suspect valve stem seals as well. I understand you were having this problem before the turbo install but I thought I'd mention it. Some don't feel its necessary to use the proper turbo oil drain gaskets and just RTV the crap out of the line instead. Well a buddy of mine was one of those DSM'rs and he RTV'd the turbo drain line completely closed and was puffing blue smoke from blowing the turbo seals.

ok ill check it out tonight i was reading some other posts also and i just want to mention i cleaned all ic piping and has brand new exhaust so its not burning it off of that stuff.... will a compression test reveal bad valves???

also just thought to mention that i have balance shaft eliminator and im running oil feed from side of head

Its not the oil feed that you can RTV close, its the drain coming off the bottom of the turbo to the oil pan. An compressin check will reveal bent valves/leaky valve seals.

so i have between 130 and 140 in the cylinders.... found out today that if i let the car warm up i it doesnt bog when i hit the gas.. also that my brand new turbo is the cause of the smoke y would it already pour the oil into charge pipes???
