I'm looking at a PTE 50 trim and Its not water-cooled so I would be blocking the coolant lines. My question is does it hurt the motor (Heating it up) or does it be easier on the motor (Cooler temps).

I know I would have to let the turbo cool after turning it off.

You would be adding in less heat to the cooling system, so it makes it easier. Don't permanently remove the provisions for the lines though, you will kick yourself later on down the road if you switch to a DBB CHRA.

What I did was put a bolt in the block to block them (I've heard an oil drain plug fits) and took off my waterpipe and welded the hole on there shut. Are you still using the stock oil filter housing?

No. I have a forward facing oil housing.

Also I would be looping the coolant not completely completely blocking it off so If I do go to a water cooled turbo...

Kinda off topic, do you have any oil cooler at all with your forward facing housing? If not, your oil temps may be creeping beyond the "comfortable" point on a street car.

I have thought of that. And I'm planning on waiting for the oil cooler. You have to have a 90 Oil housing which I don't have.
