block dowell or guide pins questions

i have my block at the machine shop right now. i just got a call that they cany take the dowell pins out without ruining them. does anyone have an OE part number so i can order new ones? i have been searching but cant find anything

I just talked to slowboyracing earlier this week and they said that you dont really need to replace them. But if you call slowboy 321-304-4907 and i think its ext. 105 for joe schulr or how ever you spell his name he'll tell you about it and they have them in-stock.

ok i call them thanks. i was thinking that you dont really need them. i thought it was to align the head with the block, but im using arp head studs so i think they will do the job

Get new dowels and put them in. Don't trust the ARPs to line it up. There is some space around the stud when it goes thru the head and you can have it mismatched to the block.

Get new ones there cheap. Extreme psi has them on there site.
