Umm, blacktop from a nonturbo are around 270cc or 290cc, or are you talking about turbo injectors? Those are 390cc from an A/T or 450 from a turbo. Color tops are NO indication of injector size BTW (if you are using injectors from non-dsm's). Look on the side of the injector and it should say. If you are talking about 450's, use the blue becuase they will be from a 2G, newer = better.

I have the same problem I have some blue top that I got from a 90-92 turbo laser and in the car wich is a second gen with 6bolt swap I have the black top injectors. Wich injector is better the black top or the blue top.

Ya, Tallen has it backward. The blacktop 450s are from the 2Gs and have a dual spray pintel cap that aims the fuel at the valves vs the 1G 450 bluetop injector's single spray pattern.

So I'm guessing the stock 2g ones are better than the stock 1g ones?

The factory believed that they were an improvement. Without taking the injector apart it's hard to say what else besides the pintle cap is different.

Since more 2G injectors now have as many miles on them as the typical 1G injector that's no longer an advantage like it was three years ago.
