black rubber piece for license plate screws.

So I have a license plate cover and took it off to put my latest registration sticker on it. The black rubber piece that the screws screw into comes out. Has anyone else have this happen to them? Can I just super glue the black rubber piece back on?

same thing happened to me today, im ging to punk the local junkyard for a full set tomorrow

Do you mean the things the plate screws go into on the body? They have a rack of that stuff at the parts store. May not be black, but if it's what I think you're talking about -kind of a polyethylene Molly bolt thing- it'll be covered by the plate anyway.

I put super glue on the black rubber piece. Seems to be fine. Just hope it doesn't come off cause I will never know where my plates will be if it does!!

I had the same thing happen to me when I got my plates. Go to the dealership, I think it cost $1.50 for a pair.

oook, all kinds im paying 5 bucks for those things. so i helped myself to like 8 of them.
